The Osborne 1 was the first commercially successful portable microcomputer.
It weighed 11 kg, cost US$1,795, and ran the then-popular CP/M 2.2 operating system.

Technical specifications of computer Osborne 1

Manufactured by: Osborne

Manufactured in USA
CPU: Z80 @ 4MHz
Memory: 64 KB

Its design owes much to the Xerox NoteTaker, a prototype developed at Xerox PARC in 1976.

Its main shortcomings were the tiny 5-inch (13 cm) display, with a resolution of 24 lines by 52 characters, and the floppy disks, which lacked sufficient capacity for business applications.
