Genius manufactures computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, trackballs and pointing devices, joysticks, TV and video tuners, webcams, security cameras, speakers, headsets, headphones, and other gaming peripherals.
Along with Logitech, it is one of the pioneering companies in this field, having manufactured mice and/or handheld scanners for almost all 16-bit platforms (Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, early IBM PC compatible devices, and Apple Macintosh).
In 1996, Genius was the first company to manufacture a mouse with a scroll wheel, which would become a standard for the manufacture of these devices.
