Peripherals and components for personal computers by the brand Advanced Gravis Computer Technology

Brand: Advanced Gravis Computer Technology
Headquarters: CA Canada
Since: 1982

Gravis was a manufacturer of computer hardware and peripherals, best known for its Gravis Ultrasound sound card (a competitor to the Sound Blaster). It also manufactured joysticks and gamepads.

In the 1990s, Gravis manufactured sound cards (Gravis Ultrasound), joysticks, gamepads, and MIDI interfaces. All of them had one common denominator: their "very high quality," which made them a minority product.

At its peak, the company had nearly 300 employees with a European office in the Netherlands, and at the time was the world's largest manufacturer of computer joysticks and gamepads.

The company was acquired by Kensington Computer Products Group in late 1997.
