It was a presentation program developed for the Mac OS platform by Aldus Corporation.

In 1994, it was acquired by Adobe Systems when the two companies merged.

Although the first versions were exclusively for Mac OS, a version for Windows 3.x was offered starting in 1991.

In September 1997, Adobe Systems discontinued production of the program.
