WinGate is a Web Proxy, integrated Internet Gateway and communications server that allows computers on a local network to connect to the Internet via a modem, connected to the serial port, shared on one of the computers.

In the era of modem Internet access, this program was essential for business access from the first computer networks in the office. Initially connected via coaxial cable using Windows 3.11 for group work, and later with Windows 95.
