Commodore Amiga 1000
The Amiga 1000 was Commodore's first multimedia personal computer model.
Created by Jay Miner, who also created the Atari 800 years earlier, when he was already working at his company, he took out a loan from Atari to develop the new model, which he couldn't repay. Commodore then acquired Amiga Corp. and paid off the loan.

- High screen resolution and color gamut.
- Great sound quality with four channels (2+2 stereo) for digital audio playback.
- Advanced operating system. While the most common operating system on PCs was Microsoft's MS-DOS, which didn't offer multitasking and featured a black screen for entering text commands that the user needed to be familiar with, AmigaOS is a real-time operating system with preemptive multitasking and a graphical user environment.
